Neutral Grounds Academy was established in 2003, the first Jiu-Jitsu Academy in Long Beach CA.
PROF. EVALDO LIMA'S ACCOLADES:
He was in the Brazilian Air Force & knows firsthand the importance of Jiu-Jitsu in defense tactics & self defense.
Won numerous medals in Gi & No-Gi even before big tournaments were in the US.
- IBJJF World Masters Champion: Earned a gold medal in 2017.
- Pan American Champion: Gold medalist at the IBJJF Pan Ams.
- European Open Champion: Gold medalist in European competition.
- British Nationals-Double Gold along with his son
- Regional IBJJF Titles: Gold medalist in Dallas, Las Vegas, and Long Beach opens.
- Submission Grappling: Champion at UFC Fan Expo Grappler’s Quest and "Best of the West"
- Appointed Board Member of Kuwait Intl' BJJ Federation in 2017
- Traveled Internationally for Seminars

Muay Thai is a stand-up striking art that combines punching, kicking, kneeing, and elbowing with clinch-fighting, sweeps, and throws. A structured discipline that features a high degree of physical conditioning, mental discipline, and strategic combat.
Kru Woody heads our Muay Thai Program. He has been with us for 14yrs.

- Folkstyle (Collegiate): Emphasizes control and riding time, widely practiced in U.S. schools and universities.
